OOOOOOO THE COLOURS....the everything...
Marion Deuchars has always been an influence of mine.
In my first year we had to do a direct copy of a piece by an artist chosen at random...
Luckily for me it was this lady...
My attempt at copying the cover
From this we were asked to make an image in their style..
This is one of my favorite images I have made I think its the colour,
the composition and the elements. This image works, it ain't great, but it works.

The idea behind this image is 'The Silent Type'

Deuchars's use of colour is really informing my work at the moment.
As is her excellent composition.
Marion Deuchars use of line shows an elegant knowledge of line and composition at the same time.
She often uses photography within her imagery but never uses the photo's as is, they are always adjustments made to them. This creates a more personalised look to the photographic elements she uses.
