CIA is an illustration agency established in 1983, and represent illustrators from all over the world. Looking at the site I found some images that excited me with the use of their shapes, technique and colours.
Jhonny Hardstaff
The extreme ciaos in this image makes my eyes wiggle, these images are roughs and ideas leading to the final image, clever and sometimes well described ideas can be found.
Hardstaff's final imagery is a digital and exciting outcome, he uses odd exciting concepts from more detailed and well draw images, he often uses juxtaposition to create these effects.
Hardstaff has also illustrated editorials and magazine covers.
I also like his name .. alot

Paul Wearing
I love this idea of shapes within shapes, collages against space, this would defiantly be something I want to experiment with during my major project.

Ulla Puggaard
This image really inspired me, it gave me the idea of over laying Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, with other relevant symbols, maybe using coloured acetate. I also really like the exclusion of the grey, red and yellow limbs in the background.

CIA describe themselves as ' promoting a loose and expressive approach to image making', it is run by six individuals and from 'The Boss' to the 'Bean - collector' they are all creatively talented ('Bean - collector' is a fine artist painter).
The agency produces cards, T-shirts, playing cards, artist book, product design and a magazine. They also have a CIA shop which holds a host of limited edition prints produced by the artists/ illustrators to celebrate their recent launch in Covent Gardens. The 'shop' immediately highlights the diversity within their agency. They obviously encourage the differences, which seems to bring out their impressive/ imaginative/ eye-catching images.
